Canterbury west to Margate

IMG_2959.JPG

When i traveled on this route it was the first time i had been on a southeastern operated train for some years so i didn't really know what to expect. However when i stepped on board i was overwhelmed by the cleanliness of the carriage . On this route i traveled in standard rail class and the carriage was like first class, it was quiet with just me and my family in the section of the train.  When I arrived at Ramsagte which was the connecting hub for this trip we had to ask some staff where the platform for my  next train was and without hesitation the staff knew where i  needed to go and where extremely helpful in helping us find the platform in a very short amount of time.

With the route i took today i had to change trains at Ramsgate with a close connecting train that would take me to Margate. However i was only on the second train for around 8 minutes. The second train i boarded at Ramsgate was much more full of passengers  most of who where de-boarding the train at one of the close by stations such as Broadstairs . When  I arrived in Margate the station was deserted with no ticket desks or the cafe begin open. However during off peak times i have discovered that the staff are generally not around at smaller stations. However with no problem at all we where in Margate which was are destination for this trip.
